  • Free

How to use it

  1. In Quizlet open your set, click the three dots and choose Export. Copy the text in the box.

  2. Paste it here. The separators are detected; change them if you picked custom ones in Quizlet.

  3. Check the cards, name the deck and download the .apkg file for Anki.

Good to know

  • Quizlet's default export uses a tab between term and definition and a new line between cards.
  • Images and audio are not part of Quizlet's text export, so they cannot be moved.
  • You can also download the set as CSV or Excel to keep a copy.

What Quizlet's export looks like

With the default settings Quizlet puts a tab between the term and the definition and each card on its own line. That is exactly what this page expects.

hola	hello
gracias	thank you
la cuenta, por favor	the bill, please

If you changed the separators in Quizlet, pick the same ones here; the preview shows straight away if the cards split correctly.

Questions

Where is the Export option in Quizlet?

On the set page, click the three dots next to the share button and choose Export. It is available for sets you created; for other sets, make a copy first.

My definitions contain commas. Will they break?

Not with the default tab separator. If you chose comma in Quizlet, switch to tab and copy again for a clean result.

Can I go the other way, from Anki to Quizlet?

Yes, with the Anki to Quizlet tool.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read by your browser on your own device and never sent to a server. Once the page has loaded it even works offline.
